Rod's for the adventures....

I have now been out and used my Kompressor Sport which I got to accompany my two Zziplex rod's, one of which I have now stripped down and began to rebuild thanks to alot of help from Stan M of http://www.alba-rods.co.uk/....... The Zziplex im rebuilding is an old Formula T which im led to believe is 20 years old, I have finished varnishing the blank and have also done the underwhip, just got to get the eye's on and coat with resin then im done. I will put a few pics on here when it is finished.
The Century I managed to pick up for £150 and it has only been used once! The shrink wrap on the butt only had one reel mark on it when I got it and there is not a mark on it!

Time I made an update! 22/1/07

Been very busy over the last week and not had time to put any reports on here. Me and Birdsnest went to Hythe marina, we were going to fish Milford shingle but due to heavy winds we had no choice but to move to a sheltered venue. Only used rag for bait and high tide was about 21.30. I had 6 pouting and 1 whiting and Birdsnest master also had a couple of pout.

21/1/07 we fished Town Quay again because of bad wind we couldn't fish Milford and as I had a bad hangover and couldn't get bait we never fished the Sunday morning match we were going to. High water was around midnight and are bait was squid, prawns and lazy lug (not much good). 1 pout was all we could manage in the 3 hours we fished.

Fishing has been very bad lately with work and poor weather stopping us getting out too often, it does seem that sometimes everything will go against you in the quest to catch a Cod but we will be back out again in the next couple of weeks. I am trying to arrange a bit of a meet at Hythe (not a cod spot) on Saturday the 20th of January if anyone who reads this is interested let me know. It will start at 9.30 and finish at 15.00. We are also out on the 21st fishing with a club that we are thinking of joining. I have just got a Century Kompressor Sport rod which im itching to get out and use as i've had it 2 weeks and not put a reel on it yet! I will soon post some fresh reports on how we get on and hopefully lots of pics of some fish!
