Hill Head 18th November 2006
Birdsnest double hitter.
We fished Hill Head from 19.00 till 01.00 with high tide being at 21.50. There had been good south westerly winds during the week so we had hoped this would improve the fishing which it did. It was a very dark night with no moon as well, all of which suggested it would be a good session. Birdsnest caught the first fish of the night with a double hitter of whiting then our friend Steve caught another whiting, by this time I was starting to think that I may end up blanking again so the curries went on to warm us up. Birdsnest made a wicked prawn curry which Steve demolished in second's! I made a chicken balti and that was lovely too even if I do say so. Anyway got back to the fishing and soon I had my first which was a double hit of a small bass and a whiting. All in total we had about 12 fish between us all of which fell to ragworm.
