Me and Birdsnest Master took a couple of friends fishing with us this time and had it planned for a long time, H/W was at about 0200 and it was forcast as a dry night with a slight wind, how wrong that was. We arrived at around 1930 and got out of the van to a very strong wind, still we decided that it would be ok to fish and hoped that it might ease off during the night, instead by about 2130 it had started to rain and the wind was getting worse. We took Lug, squid, cuttle fish and mussels for bait but never managed to use to much of it as the weather was just to bad. I did manage to catch a small Bass at about a pound in weight but that was it. In the end we decided to call it a day before midnight and settled for a bacon roll and a cup of tea back at the van.

Well done! at least you tried - looks like a decent lo-pressure up here for the weekend with Westerlies - COD weather.
Me and my other half(wendy) are of up to Fleetwood - high tide at 9.30pm - 2 up 2 down. Big tide, onshore wind, lo pressure, darkness - we can't fail!!! Yeh right!
Keep at the blog.
